Ami Gives a Unique Look at Rav Elyashiv, zt?l, from Inside His Household

The passing of Rav Elyashiv has left the Jewish world mourning the posek hador. Much of what has been said and written about him has focused on his absolute dedication to Torah learning and rejection of the physical to maintain his learning. But this week?s Ami exposes a lesser-known side of the gadol.
Along with interviews of his grandsons, talmidim, and other members of his inner circle, Ami interviewed Rav Elyashiv?s daughters and daughters-in-laws about their great father and his relationship with them. They painted a picture of a loving and doting father, concerned about their happiness and success, and they gave a view of the joy and simplicity in a house dedicated to Torah and avodah.
